Maintenance Supervisor

Today, PCC is a major domestic supplier to the Commercial Nuclear Industry, Departments of Energy and Defense, as well as NASA, Naval shipyards, and other industrial and government customers.

PCC is seeking an immediate placement for a MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR. This position is concerned with planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and controlling the activities of the Maintenance Department for operation, repair and maintenance of facilities and equipment throughout the plant.  This includes hiring, supervising, training, and disciplining the hourly personnel assigned to the department; efficient and effective utilization of department equipment, human resources, and floor space; control of departmental costs and expenses within budget; the establishment of departmental work priorities to assure that required production flow is achieved.

Successful candidate must have B.S. Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.  If you do not have a degree, completion of an apprenticeship program in a related trade is required.  Five to ten years equipment maintenance and/or facility maintenance experience in heavy industry is required.

· Must have solid strong computer (and associated technology) skills, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must have detailed knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment required in heavy industry; including power, lighting, material handling equipment, building services, also, construction and function of machine tools.
  • Must possess detailed knowledge of OSHA regulations and related regulatory issues.
  • Must be mechanically inclined and able to improvise.  Additional training and/or in electricity and/or electronics is desirable.  The ability to supervise is required.  Must be able to work constructively, cooperatively, and effectively with others in order to obtain overall effective and practical results.
  • Must possess a high degree of self-motivation and minimum need for direction in the performance of assigned duties.

 

· Must be able to function in an environment where the manufacturing personnel are represented for collective bargaining purposes.

Weld Engineer

We are seeking placement for WELD ENGINEER to provide welding engineering expertise in the application of technically sound and cost effective welding procedures, and with the effective execution and completion of moderate to complex welding engineering functions.  This includes assisting in the development and qualifications of procedures, providing technical guidelines driving manufacturing, and resolving weld-related problems.

The successful candidate will have a B.S. in Welding Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Welding Technology, plus at least two (2) years as a welding engineer in a heavy industrial environment, or demonstrates successful experience.  Will have solid computer skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.  Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Must have knowledge of basic metal joining and metallurgical principles and their application to industrial problems.  Must have the ability to identify root causes of specific welding problems and to initiate corrective actions.  Must be capable of taking on a leadership role.

Industrial Engineer

PCC is seeking an immediate placement for an INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER. This position is concerned with technical direction in several industrial engineering functions and effective coordination with the manufacturing departments, project engineering, and accounting department to implement recommendations. Analyze and suggest improved methods, systems, procedures and material flow.

The successful candidate will have a BS in Industrial Engineering, two years industrial engineering experience, and have the ability to work collaboratively with others.  Additionally, will require excellent communication skills and the ability to recognize manufacturing problems in the pre-production stage and make recommendations for their resolution. Must have the ability to recognize fundamental causes for specific industrial engineering problems.

Program Manager

Precision Components Group ("PCG"), with facilities located in York, PA (Precision Custom Components LLC) and Florence, NJ (DC Fabricators), is currently recruiting for a PROGRAM MANAGER for its York location.

This position is concerned with the planning, coordination, and management of major projects which primarily serve the DOD. The development and implementation of effective cost containment and cost tracking and control methods are inherent in the position.

Preferred candidates will possess 3 - 5 years experience in the management of complex, highly engineered equipment, and will possess a BS degree in a related engineering field.
